Très bon hôtel: Granges-Paccot, Suisse - Opinión escrita el 23 marzo 2013; Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans ce super hôtel très sympa à la fin de notre périble de 3 semaines et demi au Costa Rica. L'accueil fut très sympa de la part de Daniel et famille ainsi que de Bernadette, Madame à tout faire de ce merveilleux lodge. L'endroit est hyper calme loin du bruit à part bien sur les bruits des animaux. Tout y est bien entretenu. La cuisine de Bernadette est très bonne et surtout sans riz et haricots ce qui noius a changé de la plupart des restos et autres sodas.
Attentive owner and beautiful grounds made stay delightful: Alexandria, VA - Opinión escrita el 6 marzo 2013; We spent two nights at this small inn, consisting of a real Swiss chalet and separate bungalows (3 units per bungalow) set among beautiful gardens. The heliconia flowers were gorgeous. Our room was delightful -- cool breezes in the evening made sleeping comfortable. I liked the idea of mosquito netting over the bed -- although not needed at all since there weren't any insects! We loved swimming in the pool and using the swim-up bar -- the Swiss owner made great gin and tonics. He's fun to talk with along with his Swiss manager. No complaints about this delightful place -- and finding a sloth in a tree nearby added to the experience!
Oase im Urwald: Kemptthal - Opinión escrita el 27 febrero 2013; Im Gegensatz zu vielen Costa Rica-Reisenden, die von Unterkunft zu Unterkunft reisen, haben wir (2 Erw. 2 Kinder 11- und 13-jährig) uns im Suizo Loco Lodge gleich für 14 Tage einquartiert und es keinen Moment bereut. In der familiären Atmosphäre, der wunderschönen Anlage und "unserem" Familien-Bungalow haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir haben viele Entdeckungen und Ausflüge von dort aus unternommen und am Ende der Ferien festgestellt, dass man in und um die Hotelanlage ebenso viele Tiere entdecken kann. Das Suizo Loco Lodge ist wirklich eine ruhige Oase im Urwald, abseits von Strassenlärm oder sonstigen von Menschen überflüssig erzeugten Geräuschen. Der einzige "Lärm" ist rein natürlich und beginnt in den frühen Morgenstunden, wenn die Brüllaffen ihr Gebiet verteidigen und die Vögel einem aus den Bettfedern pfeifen. Aber das ist ja mit ein Grund, weshalb wir nach Costa Rica reisten. Das Team im Suizo Loco Lodge ist einfach super! Hilfsbereit und freundlich, so dass man sich schon nach kurzer Zeit wie zu Hause oder bei Freunden fühlt. Dies empfanden auch unsere Kinder, welche lieber mal ausschliefen und sich danach einen ruhigen Tag im Hotel gönnten statt mit den Eltern schon wieder einen Ausflug zu machen. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt und man kann sich hier sicher fühlen, da nachts noch ein Wächter seine Runden dreht. Liebe Bernadette, lieber Dani und Familie und das ganze Team: Vielen, vielen Dank dass Ihr so zum guten Gelingen unserer Costa Rica Ferien beigetragen habt.
Schöne casitas, wunderschöner Garten - und Poolbereich: Bielefeld - Opinión escrita el 10 febrero 2013; Die Casitas sind hell und freundlich, sauber und mit einem Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Der Pool ist groß, der Garten sehr schön gestaltet - das freut nicht nur die vielen Schmetterlinge, sondern auch die vielen bunten Vögel inkl. Tukanen und Papageien. Die Managerin Bernadette ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, außerdem eine gute Köchin - danke fürs Boef Stroganoff. Unserer Meinung nach die beste Unterkunft in ganz Cahuita, wenn auch nicht gerade billig. Aber dafür bekommt man auch den vollen Urlaubs-Service!
Charming bungalows set in a quiet tropical garden: San Jose, Costa Rica - Opinión escrita el 21 enero 2013; We stayed at the Suizo Loco for two nights, having been messed around with our reservation at a hotel around the corner which no longer had space. The Suizo Loco consists of charming white bungalows set in a quiet tropical garden around a swimming pool.
The bungalow I stayed in was nicely furnished, clean and had a small but pleasant outside sitting area where we could watch the abundant birdlife around the garden. The bathroom was modern, with a decent shower ( not the usual Costa Rican electric death showers) and the bedroom had ceiling fans, nets, bar fridge and coffee maker. The dividing walls between the adjoining rooms in the bungalows are rather thin- 'sound privacy' could be an issue.
Swiss managers Daniel and Bernadette were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The tasty breakfast was elegantly presented and made to order. You can have your evening meal there, which we did one night and it was first rate- Bernadette is an excellent chef.
Staying at any of the hotels in Playa Negra area of Cahuita is considerably easier with a car, although taxis can easily be ordered. It's a good base for visiting the beaches in the area. The 20min walk from Cahuita is not recommended at night. Suizo Loco is not on the beach, but only about 5mins walk away; this beach is good for walking, but may not be safe for swimming due to the waves and riptides.

La conception des chambres spacieuses et leur terrasse privative.
La conception de l’hôtel, sa piscine, son restaurant et son bar sont très réussis.
Madame la Directrice, Bernadette, est exigeante et le résultat se voit et c'est tant mieux pour nous.
Enfin tout est fait pour nous satisfaire et trouver une solution, avec un accueil sympathique et chaleureux.
Poor quality, unpleasant, and overpriced: Bruselas, Bélgica - Opinión escrita el 1 enero 2013; I have been traveling in Costa Rica regularly for the past 10 years and spent a lot of time in different hotels, including in Cahuita. This hotel is the worst place I have experienced. I expected to find nice and romantic rooms in a charming hotel to end my last trip. That was a mistake. It has no soul, it is shabby, and very expansive for what you get (more than 100 USD per night). You will find much better hotels near town along the "playa negra". The positive points of the hotel (tropical garden, tropical swimming pool, and breakfast with eggs and fruits) underlined in some reviews on tripadvisor are common to most of the hotels in Cahuita. The main reasons that should keep you away from this hotel are: the rooms are small and very rustic; there is no intimacy because there are no real walls separating the rooms of the bungalows (you can hear the other guests like if they were in your own room - that's not very pleasant when they flush the toilet ...); it's far from the National Park, from the town and from the bars and restaurants (you need a car, especially after dark - 5.30 pm); the coffee is horrible (that's a shame for Costa Rica); the rooms are overpriced in comparison with other hotels offering better services and nicer rooms and location; and, above all, this hotel does not have the Cahuita's spirit at all, it is impersonal, charmless, and has no soul.
Arnaque : à éviter à tout prix: Aix-en-Provence, Francia - Opinión escrita el 31 diciembre 2012; C'est la deuxième fois que je viens au Costa Rica et j'avais réservé cet hôtel pour terminer le périple. Je m'étais fiée aux bonnes remarques du Lonely planet sur l'établissement : grave erreur. Cet endroit a été très décevant et cela, pour trois raisons principales. La première et la plus rédhibitoire est que la chambre n'était ABSOLUMENT PAS confortable : nous entendions tout ce qui se passait chez nos voisins, de la chasse d'eau à d'autres bruits plus intimes. L'ameublement est spartiate, la literie sommaire et la chambre petite. La deuxième raison est le prix excessif : 110 USD par nuit ! Là dessus d'ailleurs, la propriétaire n'était pas très transparente car le prix semble varier à la tête du client. Aucun geste commercial quand je lui ai parlé des bruits de chasse d'eau et autres qui nous dérangeaient et qu'elle n'ignorait absolument pas !! La troisième raison est que l'hôtel est à plus de 3km du centre de Cahuita et du Parc, sans aucun resto ou bars autour ni vélo à disposition des clients. Les jours d'avant, nous avions séjourné dans deux autres hôtels de Cahuita, moins chers et très romantiques. Petite mesquinerie finale de la part de l'établissement : nous avons demandé de nous réserver le bus retour vers SJO et ce petit service nous a été facturé 3 USD !!! Alors qu'à notre arrivée au Costa Rica, la propriétaire d'un autre hôtel avait très gentiment et gracieusement offert ses services pour que notre séjour soit le plus agréable possible. Bref, tout sauf romantique, impression des'être fait arnaquée par une publicité trompeuse et en complète contradiction avec l'esprit accueillant des Ticos.
Remarkable: Seattle, Washington - Opinión escrita el 7 diciembre 2012; My girlfriend and I spent 2 weeks traveling the east coast of Costa Rica and Panama and stayed at the Suizo Loco with 'the Suizo Loco' at the tail end of our trip.
This place is wonderful: The pool, dinner, setting (great animal viewing and listening), location--all of it. I can't recommend it enough.
Here's the topper: We were having such a good time that I miscalculated our return flight back to The States. In an absolute panic, the two of us packed our gear, checked the bus schedule to San Jose and sprinted to the front office to ask for a ride into town to catch the next bus.
The owner dropped everything he was doing and gave us a lift into town--just in time, I might add, to catch the bus we needed to catch.

Wunderschönes, gepflegtes Hotel zum Entspannen!: Basilea, Suiza - Opinión escrita el 26 noviembre 2012; Die Lodge in Cahuita ist schön und ruhig gelegen. Playa grande und Negro sind beide schnell zu erreichen (5-10 min zu Fuß) und Cahuita bietet viele Restaurants, Bars wo man auch mal abends gut hingehen kann.
Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. In unserem Gebäude waren 3 Zimmer integriert und es war daher etwas hellhörig (alle Zimmer waren belegt). Aber trotzdem hat jedes Zimmer ihre eigene Terrasse und Privatsphäre. Pool und Garten sind wunderschön und gepflegt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker und sind zu empfehlen!
Daniel und Bernadette führen die Lodge familiär und man fühlt sich wohl. Daniel hat für uns eine Schnorcheltour organisiert mit anschließender Tour durch den Cahuita NP.
Wir haben 4 Nächte hier verbracht und würden sofort wiederkommen, wenn wir nochmal nach costa rica reisen.

If you're looking for a nice and clean lodge with a wonderful hostess this is your place. Best breakfast in Costa Rica. If your there you have to go to the south beach of the peninsula cahuita, best caribbean beach.
Perfektes Urlaubsdomizil: Bretten, Alemania - Opinión escrita el 20 noviembre 2012; Diese Lodge ist einfach perfekt und wir haben auf unserer Rundreise im Oktober 2012 die zwei Übernachtungen sehr genossen. Vom sehr freundlichem Empfang ,über die liebevoll ausgestatteten Unterkünfte, den gepflegte Garten mit Pool und dem hervorragenden Frühstück bis zu der Möglichkeit viele Tiere zu beobachten war es für die Nummer 1 der Hotels und Unter-künfte auf unserer Rundreise und wir werden sicher bei unserem Besuch in Costa Rica diese Lodge für einen längeren Aufenthalt einplanen. Wir wünschen Bernadette und Ihrem Team viele Gäste die diesen besonderen Ort zu schätzen wissen.
Ein wunderschöner Beginn unserer Costa Rica Rundreise: Dresde, Alemania - Opinión escrita el 20 noviembre 2012; Wir haben uns in der Lodge von Bernadette so wohl gefühlt, dass aus 2 Übernachtungen 4 wurden.
Die Bungalows sind in einem herrlichen gepflegten Garten eingebettet, in dem man schon viele Tiere beobachten kann. Das Frühstück war super und liebevoll angerichtet. Der Pool ist schön angelegt und die Lodge war für uns eine ruhige, friedliche Oase zum Erholen nach den langen Tageausflügen.
Wir können die Suizo Loco Lodge uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Unsere Fahrt von Cahuita nach San José verlief perfekt, wenig Verkehr und ohne Probleme.
Der Abflug verlief pünktlich und etwas wehmütig verliessen wir genau um 18.30h Lokalzeit dieses wunderschöne Land.
Der Aufenthalt in der Suizo Loco Lodge hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen und dafür möchten wir uns nochmals bei euch von ganzem Herzen bedanken. Bei dir, liebe Bernadette, sowie bei deinem Team konnten wir feststellen, dass ihr euren Job liebt und dass es euch viel Freude bereitet, eure Kundschaft (diese ist ja auch nicht immer ganz pflegeleicht) wenn immer möglich zu verwöhnen. Herzliche Gratulation!
Ich persönlich hoffe sehr, dass sich nun viele Kunden bei mir melden werden die eine Reise nach Costa Rica unternehmen möchten. Selbst-verständlich würde ich dann diesen Leuten einen Badeferienaufenthalt in der Suizo Loco Lodge empfehlen.

Cool place in Costa Rica: Heredia (Costa Rica) - Opinión escrita el 9 octubre 2012; Nice quiet town. Not much to do but very relaxing. Down to earth. La gente muy linda. E disfrutado mucho dia y noche. La comida y el servicio en los restaurantes del pueblo dan risa. De lo malo que es. Como que no les gusta vender. Me gusto mas el tiempo que pase en las montañas de heredia en hotel monte campana.
Uitstekend: Opinión escrita el 16 septiembre 2012; Uitstekend hotel in cahuita. Ondanks dat het zwembad gerepareerd werd en we de enige gasten in dit hotel waren, was het ons prima bevallen. We konden sochtends om 10u al de kamer in. De eigenaresse was verder ook erg behulpzaam in het regelen van een snorkel tour, direct nadat we aankwamen.
Обязательно вернемся еще: Moscú, Rusia - Opinión escrita el 29 agosto 2012; Очаровательный домашний отель, очень понравился. Здесь не только прекрасные бытовые условия, но и тёплый радушный приём и внимание хозяев к каждому гостю. Вкусный ужин, хорошее вино, ароматный кофе и очаровательная улыбка хозяйки Бернадет, которая сама великолепно готовит еду на ужин делают пребывание в этом отеле особенно приятным. Территория отеля и номера оформлены с большим вкусом, отдельно стоит упомянуть прекрасный сад, удачно вписанный в природу джунглей. Жили с ленивцем и обезьянами-ревунами, не считая бесчисленное количество других мелких животных. Тут комфортно, уютно, замечательно, сюда хочется возвращаться снова и снова! И мы обязательно приедем сюда еще раз!
Un de nos favoris: Chalon sur saone - Opinión escrita el 29 agosto 2012; Nous avions le bungalow situe en face de la réception, deux chambres indépendantes....pour nous 4 c'était parfait.... On a adoré ce lodge, très bon accueil de Daniela et Bernadette... Petit dej bien. Nous n'avons pas dîner au suizo loco car on voulait manger local et surtout d poisson, bernadette nous a très bien conseille sur les restaurants de cahuita comme le [...]... Dans le jardin du lodge on peut croiser des animaux comme les singes hurleurs, des paresseux,des iguanes on voit des toucans et pleins d'autres oiseaux, le matin tôt Juan le jardinier peut vous montrer les animaux Les enfants ont adoré la piscine et nous aussi. Nous recommandons vivement ce lodge
La Suisse au Costa Rica: Boulogne-Billancourt, Francia - Opinión escrita el 22 agosto 2012; Cadre exceptionnel, avec une dizaine de bungalows entourant une piscine. On trouve des oiseaux et des singes dans les arbres. Besoin d'être motorisé, car assez loin du parc naturel de Cahuita et de Porto Viejo. L'hôtel tient beaucoup à la qualité de l'accueil de Bernadette, la gérante suisse qui fait une cuisine incroyable matin et soir... Les enfants nous en parlent encore !
Control Suizo en pleno Caribe: Madrid, España; Nos alojamos 4 amigas en El SuizoLoco en Mayo del 2012. Habíamos visto buenas referencias por internet de este hotel y no nos defraudó. La Sra Bernadette dueña del hotel es encantadora y altamente competente, te proporciona toda la información que necesites y te tramita cualquier servicio que requieras, en concreto contratamos con ella una visita para snorkel en P.N. Cahuita. Además yo le estoy muy agradecida puesto que me dejé olvidada una cámara de fotos e hizo lo imposible por hacérmela llegar. El hotel es super curioso, una verdadera casa suiza en medio del Caribe costarricense, los bungalows son muy cómodos incluidos en un jardín donde puedes ver desde monos aulladores (y oírlos), perezosos, iguanas...esto es muy normal en muchos alojamientos en CostaRica pero era de los primeros días que pasábamos en el país y nos impactó mucho. La piscina es muy bonita, aunque no nos dió tiempo a probarla, demasiadas cosas que visitar en la zona y el desayuno es muy bueno y abundante.
Ruhiger Aufenthalt an der Karibikküste: Switzerland - Opinión escrita el 12 agosto 2012; wir haben eine schönen und ruhigen Aufenthalt von 4 Nächten bei Bernadette verbracht. die lodge liegt etwas ausserhalb von Cahuita, sehr ruhig, im Garten können Vögel beobachtet werden. Ein eigenes Fahrzeug ist von Vorteil, so können die wirklich schönen Badestrände innert kurzer Zeit vom Natinalpark bis Manzanillo erreicht werden. Dies erlaubt auch eine Besuch im turbulenten Puerto Viejo mit Rückkehr zu einer ruhigen Nacht in der Suizoloco Lodge. Das Frühstück mit Früchten und frischgepresstem Saft war lecker, der Service sehr hilfsbereit. In der nahen Umgebung gibt es einige gute Restaurants, wenn man zu spät dran ist, sich bei Bernadettes guter Küche für den Abend anzumelden. Sehr empfehlenswert!
geweldige ervaring: Utrecht, Países Bajos - Opinión escrita el 10 agosto 2012; We verbleven begin augustus drie nachten bij Suizi Loco en het was een geweldige ervaring: De bungalows zijn ruim en goed ingericht met ventilator en koelkast. Het zwembad met jetstream is heerlijk. Het ontbijt is uitstekend. En de dierenwereld rondom de bungalows is fantastisch: de ruime bloemenrijke tuin lijkt wel een vlindertuin met honderden vlinders van zeker tien soorten, in de bomen rondom de tuin spelen de brulapen, toekans komen rijpe peulen snoepen uit de bomen en met een beetje geluk zie je ook nog agouti's over het grasveld lopen. Bernadette is een uitstekende gastvrouw, die het haar gasten graag naar de zin maakt en goed adviseert en helpt met het plannen van uitstapjes.
Great Experience: Mamaroneck, Nueva York - Opinión escrita el 8 agosto 2012; We staid two nights there with two boys. A nice small scale hotel with bungalows on a perfectly well maintained proprety, very clean and peaceful. Bernadette, the manager, is very welcoming and is also a very good cook, and the dinner was delicious. We all liked it.
Nous y retournerons, c'est certain: SOIRON - Opinión escrita el 30 julio 2012; Nous avons visité le costa rica il y a3 ans avec notre fille de 5 ans et cet hotel fait partie de mon top 3 : Ce complexe de quelques bungalows est magnifique. Il se situe à quelques minutes de la ville de Cahuita et de ses plages de sable fin. Les moustiquaires sont bien utiles au-dessus de chaque lit et les chambres sont toutes mignones. Le petit déjeuner est un des meilleur que j'ai mangé au Costa Rica. Les plats du soir sont très raffinés. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la détente fin de journée autour de la piscine dans ce parc magnifique. Nous le recommandons à nos amis et nous y retournerons. Merci pour l'accueil chaleureux.
Se pasa mucho calor!: Madrid, Spain - Opinión escrita el 2 julio 2012; Yo estuve en una junior suite cuyo precio (124$) es un tanto "ajustado". Tenía un jacuzzi que llenaron cuando llegamos a la tarde pero que vaciaron al dia siguiente, de todos modos no funcionaba. La habitación tiene tv pero sólo para que vieses tus dvd (que nadie lleva de viaje) y no tiene aire acondicionado, lo cuál es un problema porque hay muchísima humedad, se pasa muchísimo calir y al no arroparte, los bichitos te hacen mil picaduras. Por cierto las hormigas campan a sus anchas por el baño. Las toallas son viejas y están rotas. Por otro lado, el personal es muy agradable y son muy familiares! Hacen que te sientas realmente cómodo. La piscina es buena la verdad y se está muy a gusto. El entorno es muy lindo y está muy cuidado.
